Taylor is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). She uniquely combines her education in social work and counselling psychology to provide a humanistic and holistic approach to therapy. With your input, she will use interventions that align with your goals and values. One way she does this is with Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Also known as ART, this therapy can assist in changing the relationship we have with our memories so we can move forward with the facts, but not the emotional pain. ART is a versatile treatment that can be employed for single event traumas, or more general mental health like anxiety, depression, and grief; it can even be used for quitting unwanted habits, and for work or sports performance enhancement.

Prior to pursuing psychology, Taylor worked in the human services industry for over 10 years. Her previous roles included child protection, federal corrections, and an intensive care hospital unit. Having worked in numerous front-line jobs, Taylor is an ally and advocate for supporting the mental health of anyone that assists their fellow human. With family in uniform, Taylor also knows what it is like to love a first responder. This experience of living and loving the front-line provides a unique opportunity to relate to and support not only public safety personnel, but also their loved ones. Supporting LS, poly, and ENM individuals is also a population that Taylor enjoys working with.
